Born to the late George E. Beckham, Sr. and Frances Elizabeth Marett, George proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy. He went on to work in the banking industry for over 30 years, where he was well respected by colleagues and clients alike.
George cherished time spent with his family, whether at the beach, gathered together at home, or cheering on Carolina Football. His warmth, humor, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Christina Harmon (Joel) and Ricky Beckham; grandchildren, RJ Samellas, Ella Samellas, Mayson Beckham, Addy Beckham, Zach Beckham, Thomas Harmon (Sarah Caroline), and Jack Harmon; and his brother, Tommy Beckham. He was predeceased by his sister, Jackie Smith.
A visitation will be held Monday, September 15, 2025, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation in honor of his beloved family member, Madelynn Nelson.
