COLUMBIA – A Celebration of the Life of Gwendolyn C. Register, 76, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Denny Terrace Baptist Church. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel is assisting the family. Mrs. Register passed away Friday, January 20, 2017. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Carl Asbill and Ginny Gantt Asbill. She was a member of Park Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Register retired following a life-long career in mortgage banking. Mrs. Register had a love for animals especially her four legged companion, Angel. Surviving are her children, Angie Nelson (Larry), Greg Kitchens (Lisa); grandchildren, Erin Kitchens, John Nelson, Eryn Seeger, Taylor Thigpen, Austin Kitchens and Tyler Kitchens. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Madison Weaver, and Eva Thigpen. She was preceded in death by sisters, Elizabeth Vogel, Sue Jayroe, Barbara Leroy; brother, Carl Asbill, Jr.; and former husband, Brevard DuBose Register.
