Funeral Service for Jack James Griffin, 69, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 22, 2015 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo, with burial to follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Jack passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Herbert Edwin Griffin, Sr. and Alice Hooks Griffin. Jack was a graduate of Dreher High School and served as a weatherman in the U.S. Army for two years in Panama. Following forty years in the mortgage banking industry, he retired to spend time with all the animals he dearly loved at Griffin Animal Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Tasha Griffin; daughter, Christie Griffin (Dawn Fairey); sons, Bill and Jim Griffin; brother, Herbert Edwin Griffin, Jr. (Barbara); niece, Robin Vitali (Jason); and nephew Edwin Griffin (Kathryn). He is also survived by his three fur babies, Simon, Sabrina and Summer.
