COLUMBIA - A funeral service for James Bridges Henson, Jr., 71, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2016, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. prior to the service at the chapel. Mr. Henson died Thursday, February 25, 2016. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late James B. Henson, Sr. and Patricia Baxley Henson. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the 101st Airborne. Mr. Henson worked in sales and taught himself to work on computers and different gadgets. He was a member of Shandon Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 16 years, Jane S. Henson; daughter, Summer Morgan (Jay); and grandsons, Gauge and Granger Morgan. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Michael Henson. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 1817 Gadsden Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
