Aka
DANGER BOY DUNN
Jason was born 38 years ago to Phillip Dunn and Sherry Byone Banyard in Natchitoches, Louisiana. He was a much-loved son, brother, nephew, cousin and phenomenal friend.
He was preceded in death by his sister Brianna Dunn.
He is survived by his parents; step-father, Donnie Banyard; brother, Christopher Dunn (Jodie); sister, Sara Banyard (aka Princess Squirt); and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was born with a smile on his face and a spirit of adventure. By the time he was three he had been to the ER two times for stitches. His big brother had a hard time keeping him in line (never happened)! But Chris did his best to protect him from danger and would be bullies.
Jason attended school in Bossier City, Louisiana; Atlanta, Georgia; and Columbia, South Carolina. He had so many adventures along the way (I’m sure he didn’t share the details of many of those with his mother)! He remained true to all the friends he made along the way. Many of whom became brothers.
His time as the DJ “Danger Boy Dunn” are especially entertaining (to put it mildly)! Sometimes life was hard but Jason did not give up. Sometimes he was afraid to take the next step but he did it anyway. He lived life to the fullest. When he went back to college, he did not settle for getting by. Jason was determined to be the absolute best he could be. He pursued his law degree with passion. One of his professor’s described him as “The most interesting man in the law school”.
Jason was compassionate, kind, a good listener and did his best to help you see the big picture. He was funny, smart and so very interesting. God must have needed his expertise!!
We will miss his presence in our lives. His philosophy discussions, tales of trips through the Grand Canyon, the love he freely shared, and the wet willies and lick instead of a kiss on the cheek coupled with a bear hug!
We’ll turn the music up loud for you.
Love, ❤︎
