He was married to the love of his life Donna Grist for 16 years. They shared a love for the travel, camping, weeklong get a way to the mountains, car shows and the love for their children.
He was a loving father to Daughter – Robin Hook (Chris), Son – Ryan Brown, Daughter – Chrystal Gasowski (Steven), Daughter – Mindy Brown, Son – Jay Grist Brown. He was a loving brother to Libby Miller, and Linda Hayes. He was the best Grandfather/Poppy to Chase, Gavin, Dylan, Caden, Cohen, Baylee, Bradlee, Aiden.
He was preceded in death by his Father - Jay W Grist Sr., Mother - Dorothy W. Grist, Brother – Craig Grist, Son – Donald Howell.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 am prior to the service at the funeral home.
