Jeffry J. "Jerry" Dunn

Funeral service for Jeffry “Jerry” J. Dunn, 65, will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2016 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016 in Whitmire Cemetery, Whitmire, SC.

Jerry passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016. Born in Woodbine, GA, he was the son of the late James Rupert Dunn and Laura Brown Dunn Stone. He was a member of the Eau Claire Masonic Lodge #344. Jerry “J.J.” was retired from the City of Columbia Police Department.

Jerry was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He had the most loving and gentle soul, and was a protector of all. His family was his everything. “You sir, are our lighthouse.”

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Wanda Dunn; son, Jeff Dunn; and sister, Glynda Dunn Marlow (Mel). He is also survived by the Walker family, where he will always be more of a brother than a brother-in-law.

The family extends sincerest appreciation to the Dr.’s, nurses and staff at Lexington Medical Center, ICU.
