John "Chuck" Charles Hunnicutt

Born on August 6, 1977 in Columbia, SC, he was the son of Patricia F. Hunnicutt and Richard L. Hunnicutt. He was an avid NASCAR fan and was employed at Richard Wright’s Towing and Recovery, where he was considered family.

John leaves behind his mother, Patricia (William) Wells; two sisters, Rebekah (Gary) Burger and Elizabeth (Steven) Christopher; nephews, Ward Burger, Luke Christopher, Benjamin Burger and Solomon Christopher; nieces, Rachel (Jacob) Layton, Corinna (Ty) Salter and Sydney Christopher; stepdaughters, Kassidy Hart and Kaylee Pawling; and two step-grandchildren, Victor Hart and Lucille Hart; along with aunts, uncles, and cousins.

John, “Chuck,” never met a stranger and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He met life head on and fought his medical issues for as long as he could. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, November 3, 2025 at Shandon United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service at Wesley Hall. A private interment for family will be held at a later date.
