IRMO – Beloved wife, devoted mother, precious daughter, wonderful sister, loving aunt and friend, Keri Lyn (Wechtel) Ladd, 48, went home to be with her Lord Jesus on Friday, December 18, 2020. She was the daughter of Robert H. & Frances S. Wechtel. She was a graduate of Irmo High School and Columbia International University in Columbia, S.C.
Her two precious daughters and devoted husband were the most important treasures in Keri Lyn’s life, and she loved them deeply. She was loved by so many, and was always described as kind and selfless by everyone who knew her. She was always willing to help others. She loved football, the Denver Broncos, snow & water skiing, the Rocky Mountains, travelling, and volunteering – especially at her daughters’ schools. She was just awarded the School District Five Elementary Volunteer of the Year. Keri Lyn was such a blessing to everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Michael J. Ladd; precious daughters, Natalie and Julia; her parents, sister, Deonna Wechtel Bundrick (Eric), and many nephews and nieces.
A graveside Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021 in Elmwood Cemetery and Gardens. The family will receive friends before the service 30 minutes prior at the cemetery. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, is assisting the family.
Since the military was dear to her heart, memorials may be made in her honor to the Freedom and Hope Foundation, 598 Hollands Landing Road, Prosperity, SC 29127 or www.freedomandhopefoundation.com.
