Mary Thames Stocker

Mary Thames Stocker, 100, of West Columbia, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023. She was a graduate of Camden High School. She was a charter member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church, where she held many committee positions and was active in the Choir, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Kitchen Committee and LCW. Mary was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-great-great grandmother, sister, and friend.

Surviving are her sons, Carl (Debbie, deceased), Philip (Pam), and daughter, Libby (Bill) Thomasson. Grandchildren, Daniel Carl Stocker, Jr., Jennifer Wolff, Jason Stocker, Kelli Powell, Cameron Stocker, Nick Stocker, Jill Hammett, Clark Stocker, Jill Ann Scuderi; 12 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, EC Stocker Jr., and son, Daniel (Sandy) Stocker, Sr.

We would like to thank the staff of NHC – Jasmine Unit for the wonderful care they provided for during mom’s stay.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2022 at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in West Columbia, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Fellowship Hall at the church. Pallbearers will be Daniel Stocker, Jr., Jason Stocker, Jason Powell, Nick Stocker, Christopher Stocker, and Nathaniel Stocker.
