Meda Jean "Susie" Peeples

Funeral Service for Meda Jean “Susie” Peeples, 82, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. There will be a private interment in Bluffton Cemetery.

Mrs. Peeples passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017. Born in Bishopville, she was the daughter of the late Willis Roger DuBose and Grace Young DuBose. She was the wife of the late Andrew Peeples, Jr.. She was a member of St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church. Mrs. Peeples was a graduate of Dreher High School and attended the University of South Carolina. She retired from the SC Department of Education following 25 years of service. Mrs. Peeples was an avid gamecock fan, and enjoyed living on Lake Murray. Affectionately known as Bebe, by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are her son, Philip Peeples (JoNell); daughter, Sharon P. Slice; grandchildren, Ryan Slice (Lindsay), Adam Slice, Andrew J. Peeples (Nicki), Kristin G. Peeples, Steven Hutto, Jr., Michael Hutto (Danni); numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Roger DuBose (Joann), Donnie DuBose and sister-in-law, Mildred Pemberton (Roger). She was preceded in death by her son, Andrew Daniel Peeples and son-in-law, Michael Slice.

Memorials may be made to St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church, Hospice of Tri-County, or the American Lung Association.
