Patrick Michael Allen

Patrick was born in Alameda County, California, to Thomas and Mary Allen, and grew up in Fremont, where he graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1978. A standout athlete, Patrick was a football and track star in high school. A lifelong lover of the outdoors, he found great enjoyment in football, hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and spending time outside. These passions brought him peace and were often shared with those closest to him.

Patrick was a devoted father and a proud grandfather. He is survived by his three children: Kristen Neilson (husband Jeffrey Neilson), Kevin Allen (wife Karol Allen), and Kathleen Veltung (husband Justin Veltung). He leaves behind eleven cherished grandchildren: James, Brooklynn, Sophia, and Levi Neilson; Tristan, Shane, and Connor Allen; and Jordyn, Josiah, Joleen, and Jovin Veltung.

Patrick is also survived by his brothers Bill Allen and Tim Allen, and his sisters Kathleen Allen Gondkoff and Beth Allen Tremoureux. He was reunited in passing with his sisters Mary Allen Linhart and Eileen Allen Faria.

Patrick shared twenty-five years of marriage with Donna Sansoni Allen. Though they later divorced, those years were among the happiest of his life and remain a meaningful part of his story.

Patrick’s love for the outdoors, his devotion to family, and the memories he created with those he loved will remain his lasting legacy.
