CHAPIN – Robert “Bob” Pritchard, 79, of Chapin, S.C., died March 29, 2022. He was born in Asheville, N.C. to the late Charles J. and Estelle B. Pritchard. He attended Gardner-Webb College and served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. He retired from Bi-Lo after 60 plus years. An avid fisherman, he cared for his fellow man.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Pritchard of Chapin, grandson, Donnie of Gaston, and his sisters, Kay Pritchard and Sherry Hensley of Asheville, N.C. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Tracy B. Pritchard, and his brother, Sam L. Pritchard.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, April 4, 2022 in West Memorial Park, Weaverville, NC. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo, SC.
