COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Robert F. Wilkinson, Sr., 76, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with burial in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2015 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. Mr. Wilkinson died Friday, February 20, 2015. Born in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Francis Edward and Joanna Stouffer Wilkinson. He was the husband of the late Barbara Anne Wilkinson. Mr. Wilkinson was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He attended Syracuse University before joining the US Army. He was a graduate of Army Officer Candidate School and served during the Vietnam War. Mr. Wilkinson retired as a corporate manager from the brick manufacturing industry. He and his wife were docents at the South Carolina State Museum. Surviving are his sons, Robert F. Wilkinson, Jr. of Yorktown, Va., Jonathan Wilkinson (Lucia) of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada; daughter, Anne - Marie Hill (Jim) of Charleston; grandchildren, McKenzie, Caleb, and Corradina.
