A funeral service for Sara White, 34, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015, at the funeral home.
Mrs. White passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015. Born in Tehran, Iran, Sara was the daughter of David Afroukhteh and Nasrin Hosseini Tekiye. She was a member of the Philadelphia Church of God and her children attended the Adventist Academy School. Sara enjoyed studying about Yeshua HaMashiach and discovering the truth about Yahweh. She loved Yeshua HaMashiach above all things. Celebrating Shabbat and the Feasts that Yahweh has given were so important to her. Sara had the largest sense of humor and made those around her laugh out loud! She was a fighter who would stand strong for what she believed in. Sara was a giver who would walk downtown just to give money to the poor on the streets. She loved people, being around people, and especially meeting new people. Listening to music, dancing, learning, swimming, and studying on her computer were some of her enjoyments. She loved the beauty and the landscape of her favorite movie, “Gone with the Wind” and the TV series, “North and South.” Traveling and visiting new places, especially cities, were some of her favorite things to do, but above all, time spent with her family was her most important love. She adored her daughter, Cloe and was so proud of her son, Noah. Together with her husband, they had great plans for the future here in South Carolina, and a new home to begin a new chapter of their lives. A brave and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, she will be greatly missed by all.
Surviving in addition to her parents, are her husband, Dr. Gary White; son, Noah; daughter, Cloe, sisters, Poupak Simon, Taha; and brother in-law, Matthias Simon. She is also survived by step-son, Casey; step-daughter, Kaley; mother-in-law, Pauline White; nephew, Kian Simon; niece, Kimia Simon; and other family members, Adam, Elahe, Peji, Parham, Pouran, Behnam, Dena, Bamdad, Narges, Agahye, and Ahmadi.
