Of Brooklyn, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the age of 23. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Nina and Papa (Elizabeth and Edward Buckels) and Auntie Gam (Margaret Bernardi). He will be remebered by his parents; Patti and Phil Sonnenberg, sister; Ellisan Sonnenberg, Grandparents; Theresa and David Alexander, Mike and Cindy Sonnenberg, aunt and uncles; Shon Buckels, Teresa (Jerry) Stassines, Edward Buckels, Janet (Randy) Martin, Michelle (Brad) Allen, Paul (Sharon) Sonnenberg, Jennifer (Kevin Gillig) Bostwick, and 39 wonderful cousins. They say the brightest light burns the fastest, this was more than true for Alex. Those who truly knew him knew he had the biggest heart. Alex suffered, mostly in silence, due to mental health. He was the type of person who never wanted to bother anyone with his troubles, he would much rather of helped others when all he needed was a little help himself. Now those who knew Alex knew how much he loved playing videos, where he met a wonderful group of gamers who soon he would be able to call his friends. He also attended Columbia Central where he met a group of friends he would soon enough call his family. He also loved every animal he came across, especially the fur babies of his own; Pumpkin, Mimosa, and Peajae. Another one of his hobbies was hunting, even though in the 9 years he did it he got 0 deer, but that was probably because he was snoring too loud. If there was one thing anyone knew about Alex it was how amazing his hugs were. One hug from Alex made all of your problems go away.
