

In 1961, Alvin graduated from Jackson High School. He was employed by the Michigan Department of Corrections. Following in his father’s footsteps, Alvin developed a love of all things cars at an early age and eventually opened Greene’s Auto Body and Polishing, a staple business in the city of Jackson for many years. He was known as a fair and caring businessman. He was hardworking and built his first home by hand with his mother for his family. He built and operated his own fiberglass boat. He also raced cars. He loved to fish, waterski, and take his boat on the water.
Alvin leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Loren, Dawn, Alvin, Jr., and Nichalas; 10 grandchildren, brother, Ronald Greene, sister, Sharon (Robert) Leverett, and niece, Traci (Anthony)Hill, a very special cousin, Laresa Jones, special friend, Larry Young and host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Vivadean Greene and sons, Michael Greene and Parrish Joplin.
He will be missed by all that loved him.
A Home Going service will be held at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 E. Michigan Ave. Jackson, Mi. 49202) Thursday February 12, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. with the family hour beginning at 11:00 A.M. Burial Woodland Cemetery.
