Barbara Hicks

Of Jackson, MI passed away on May 10, 2018 at the age of 83 and November 12, 2024 at the age of 89, respectively. Andrew was born in Hippo, KY on October 1, 1934 to parents Kelly and Millie Hicks. Barbara was born in VanLear, KY on December 3, 1934 to parents Sol and Margaret Burchett. Andrew and Barbara were married on July 31, 1954, and were married for 64 years, until Andrew's death on May 10, 2018. Andrew worked at Kelsey Hayes for over 40 years. He loved hunting, fishing, playing cards and golfing. Barbara was a homemaker. She worked for several years at Wings' Greenhouse. Barbara loved gardening, flowers and visiting family and friends. She also loved to sing. Andrew and Barbara are survived by their children Larry Hicks, Carol Crowley (Alan Pavy), Jackie (Terry) Eberenz, and Vivan (Dave) Pennell; two grandchildren Nichole Crowley (Steve Barabash) and Ryan (Amy) Hicks; two great-grandchildren Caleb and Chloe Hicks; Barbara's sibling Bonita McAvoy; and Andrew's sibling Roy (Peggy) Hicks. They are preceded in death Andrew's parents Kelly and Millie Hicks; Barbara's parents Sol and Margaret Burchett; Andrew's siblings Bueford Hicks, George Hicks, Cyrus Hicks, Bethel Sawyer, Glenna Seville, Brenda Hicks, Berniece Conklin, and Belvie Honaker; Barbara's siblings Sol Burchett Jr., David Burchett, Woody Burchett, Marie Davis, Corinnia Hyden, and Gloria Warren; and granddaughter Erin Eberenz. A private service for both Andrew and Barbara will be held at a later date.
