Of Jackson, was ushered into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, March 17, 2016, surrounded by her loving family, age 90. Bea was loved and cherished by her four daughters and their husbands: Diane (Patrick) Green, Deborah (Glenn) Myers, Catherine (Russell) Herman, and Karen (Richard) Bauer, as well as eight grandchildren: Jeremy (Nidia) Green, Courtney (Michael) Gray, Bekki Myers, Katie (Samer) Jeroudi, Dan (Monica) Herman, Pete (Ginger) Herman, Joel Bauer, and Jarred Bauer; and five great-grandchildren: Isabella Green, Galyah Green, Norah Gray, Miles Gray, and Ben Herman, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her parents, Kenneth and Ellen Cady; and her sister, Lois White. Bea retired from Consumers Power Co. after many years of faithful service. Bea left a tremendous legacy of love for her family and friends. Her generosity, although done quietly and without fanfare, blessed many people in their time of need. She always put others before herself, sacrificing her own comfort to provide help for those who needed it. Although she described her life as “ordinary,” in fact, she lived an extraordinary life full of family and friends, all of whom knew her as a kind and gracious person. Bea became a Christian as an adult, and had a quiet, but steady, love for her Savior. She loved her church, Trinity Wesleyan, and attended faithfully. Bea’s interests were many and varied. She loved music and spent many hours playing hymns on her keyboard. She also enjoyed cross-stitch and rug hooking, and often blessed others with the fruit of her labor. She was an avid reader and loved going to the library to pick out new books. In her last days, she enjoyed adult coloring. Bea was also a great fan of the Detroit Tigers baseball team. One of the recent highlights of her life was when her granddaughter, Bekki, arranged for her to travel to Detroit to see one more game in person. Bea’s “bucket list” included a trip to Florida with her daughters and granddaughter to see two of her great grandchildren; reaching her 90th birthday; and spending one last Christmas with family and friends. In God’s great Providence, Bea was able to check all three off her bucket list. Her love of God and family will be forever remembered by those who knew and loved her. Hers was a life most “extraordinary.” The family would like to express their gratitude for the compassionate care she received at the Allegiance Hospice Home. A celebration of her life will be held at Trinity Wesleyan Church (620 Robinson Rd. Jackson) Monday March 21, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Keith Hinton officiating. Burial Roseland Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, Sunday 2-6 P.M. Donations may be made to Allegiance Hospice Home or The Salvation Army.
