

Of Jackson, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 at the age of 91, at home under the care of his son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Debbie. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 48 years, Marie Myers; his second wife, Vida Good-Myers of 15 years; his parents and four siblings. He is survived by his three sons, Glenn (Debbie), Gene (Laurie) and Gary (Janie) Myers; five grandchildren, Bekki Myers, Katie (Samer) Jeroudi, Brittany (Josh) Rowlison, Jessica Myers and Christopher Myers; great grandson, Simon as well as many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. Clair was born in Jackson, Michigan to Homer and Florence (Everett) Myers on July 24, 1929 and is a 1947 graduate of Jackson High, where he was a star athlete. After his honorable discharge from the United States Navy, Mr. Myers returned to Jackson and tried out for Major League Baseball. Subsequently sustaining an injury that ended his opportunity in sports he returned to Jackson where he married; raised a family and worked for Goodyear Tire for more the 20 years. He was extremely active in sports and his family. Clair was an avid Golfer and was inducted into the Jackson Bowling Hall of Fame. He was President and Coach of the Jackson County Babe Ruth Baseball league. He was well liked by others and he seemed to always run into an acquaintance while on vacation or an outing. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Clair had a strong Faith in the Lord and attended Encounter Church previously known as Trinity Wesleyan Church (620 Robinson Road Jackson, 49203) where family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 12:00 until 1:30 p.m. Mr. Myers will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Military Honors at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to the Church in his honor.
