

Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on February 9, 2026, at the age of 88. David was born in Hillsdale, Michigan on April 12, 1937, to parents Alfred and Isophyne (Daily) Bouvier. David met the love of his life, Peggy Kirkland, in 1966. They married in 1967 and were happily married until Peggy's death in 2011. David served in the Army 82nd Airbourne from 55-57. He was a painter, serving as the union president of the Painters Association. He was a car salesman, did auto detailing and auto body work. He enjoyed being a Little League coach, taking the teams he coached to many Detroit Tigers games. He also was an avid sports fan, enjoying U of M, Detroit Tigers, NASCAR, Detroit Lions, and any sport his kids or grandkids played. David always put his family first. His kids, grandkids, and great grandkids were always talked about to whomever would listen. He made friends with everyone. David is survived by his children Suzette (Chad) Lewis and Robert (Bobbie) Bouvier; grandchildren Christoffer (Jessica) Bouvier, Courtney (Kirk) Underwood, Johnathan (Ashley) Lewis, Haylee Bouvier, and Annabelle Bouvier; great grandchildren Logan, Carson, and Owen Bouvier, Gracyn Lewis, Connor Fitzpatrick, and Henry and Waylon Lewis. He is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Isophyne Bouvier, his loving wife Peggy, and brother Ronald Bouvier. Cremation has been chosen with no services.
