Of Jackson, MI, passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2012 at the age of 66. He was born on August 19, 1945 to parents Donald and Ada Schindler. He worked for Eaton Corporation as a machinist. He married Amy (England) on May 10, 1997. David was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a devoted family man. He is survived by his wife, Amy; daughters; Leta (Dave) Howard, Lisa (Armando) Rodriguez, Rachel Haas and son Christopher Behm. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Shallee, Helena, Romy, Lindsay, Kelli, Nick and Ayla; and his feline friend Quiver. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Joyce (Phelps) Schindler, and his great grandson Landon. A celebration of his life will be held at Rives Baptist Church (2800 W. Barry Rd. Rives Junction, MI 49277) on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM, with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Youth Haven Ranch.
