Of Jackson, Michigan, passed away on April 15, 2026. Diane was born March 7, 1940, in Jackson, Michigan, to Hawley and Helen (Porter) Corser.
Diane devoted her working life to caring for others, beginning her career as an ER tech at Mercy Hospital and eventually retiring from Foote Hospital. Her steady sense of service extended well beyond her profession—she also offered medical volunteer work in Honduras (Central America). A servant of the Lord, Diane lived with quiet conviction and purpose, and she raised two strong, independent girls who reflect the values she held close.
Diane found joy in the simple, faithful rhythms of everyday life. She loved quilting and knitting, and she was known to “jump in her car”—the beloved blue goose—whether to visit, deliver donuts, or simply take a short spin around the block. She also enjoyed traveling, both on her own and with her grandchildren, embracing time together and the wider world with a calm, capable spirit.
Diane is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Dean) Donaldson and Renee (Dave) Jenkins; grandchildren Joe Gross, Dustin (Brytney) Sanford, and Nathan (McKenzie) Donaldson; great-grandchildren MaKenzie, Alaura, Luke, Ozzie, Gryffin, and Gracie; sister Charmayne (Bill) Smith; and several nephews and a niece.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents Hawley and Helen (Porter) Corser; siblings Pat (Dick) Camp and Vern (Nancy) Corser; children Leonard Jr. (infant son) and Joe Gross; and nephew Dan Smith.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Gathering will be held at Burden-Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with sharing memories at 2:30 pm. The family will have a private burial at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you do a good deed in memory of Diane.
