Eddie Monte Cross Sr.

Eddie Monte Cross Sr., age 82 died peacefully on September 27, 2015 in Chattanooga Tennessee. Eddie is preceded in death by his wife Mary (Curry) Cross of Jackson, his son Joey Cross of Jackson; and four brothers: Duane, Glenn, Floyd and Johnny Cross all of Jackson. Eddie is survived by partner Marguerite Lige of Jackson; his daughter Patricia (Cross) Davis and husband Raymond Davis of Georgetown Tennessee; and son Eddie Cross Jr. of Jackson Michigan. Two granddaughters Julie (Warren) Burchfield, and Kerra (Cross) Quintanilla and husband Jesse Quintanilla of Mt. Morris, Michigan. Nine great grandchildren: Justin, Ashlynn, Caleb, Brittney and Carson of Tennessee and Jacob, Kaiden, London, and Miguel of Michigan. Three great great grandchildren: Raymond, Serenity, and Payslee of Tennessee. Siblings: Helen (Cross) Sparks and husband Bob Sparks of Pasadena California, Kenneth Cross and wife Norma Cross of Jackson Michigan, Mina (Cross) Gillespie and husband Bob Gillespie (deceased) of Washington, and Diane (Cross) Perry and husband Kenneth Perry of Toledo, Ohio. Eddie was born on January 21, 1933 in Jackson Michigan, to parents Jack and Emma Cross. He attended East Jackson Schools and resided in Jackson his entire life. He retired from B & R Gear where he worked as a machine operator. Eddie was a member of the local Eagles club. Eddie was a great family man and a loving father, and grandfather. He married Mary Cross September 20, 1953 and the couple had three children. Eddie enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. His family and friends will always remember him as a hard worker. Eddie chose a simple cremation. To celebrate his life, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service at Burdens Funeral Home on October 6, 2015. Friends may greet the family from 3pm-5pm until the time of the service at 5PM with Kenneth Perry officiating.
