Eldon Byron Fields

Eldon served our country honorably in the US Air Force. He was a hard-working man who was employed with the State of Michigan as a Corrections Officer for 30 years and worked for Jackson College for over 15 years. He loved movies, music, going to concerts and all Detroit sports, especially the Pistons. He also loved dogs and spent some years breeding dalmatians and labradors. Eldon traveled to Hawaii frequently as it was one of his favorite places along with the Grand Canyon.

Preceding Eldon in death are his parents, his siblings: Loretta Fields, Virginia Mason, James Fields and Randall Fields.

Eldon is survived by his two daughters: Lisa Fields and Michelle Antoine; grandchildren: Brooklyn Blair, CJ Blair, Marissa Blair, Michael Antoine, Ashton Antoine; brothers: Mark Fields, Dwight Fields, close friends, Rex (Dawn) Holmes, Joe (Amy) Garcia and many extended family, friends and co-workers.

According to Eldon’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 3pm-7pm at the American Legion, 1190 Falahee Rd., Jackson, MI 49203.
