Elizabeth "Pat" Olmstead

Of Jackson, Michigan at the of 85, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. Elizabeth was born February 12, 1925 in Grand Rapids to parents, Edith and Claude Patterson. She is survived by her children, Ricky Grzesek of Kalamazoo and Cheryl (John) Crist; three stepchildren, Karen (Thomas) Ostrander of Allen, Mark (Deborah) Olmstead of Battle Creek and Linda Schort; daughter-in-law, Janace Grzesek; six brothers, Claude (Janice), Duane, Wally, Pat (Clara), Glen (Sally) and Don (Gloria); three sisters, Natalie White, Nancy Schuler and Yvonne Ghent; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Olmstead in 2008; her first husband, Frank Grzesek; son, "Butch" Grzesek; sister, Elnore Lowe; brother, Rodger; stepchildren, Sherry Drohan and Jerry Olmstead. Elizabeth enjoyed cooking, knitting, gardening and traveling with Bob. Prior to retiring, she worked at Gramer's Candy. Our special thanks to Arbor Manor for the care and comfort given to Pat. Elizabeth was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, 4250 Page Avenue, Michigan Center, where a memorial visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010, and a memorial service honoring her life at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jim Watson officiating.
