Glina Joyce Thompson

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Glina Joyce Thompson, on July 6, 2024, in Jackson, Michigan at the age of 80. She is survived by her grandchildren, Matthew Klinesmith and Brandan (Emily) Klinesmith; great grandchildren, Paige, Scarlett, Olivia and McKenzie Klinesmith; sisters, Joann Dettore, Charlene Fegan and Linda (Tommy) Skeens; brother-in-law, Roger Mullins; son-in-law, James Klinesmith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Zora Hutchinson; husband, James Thompson; son, Jeff Upton; daughter, Lori Klinesmith; sister, Sue Mullins; brother, Charles Hutchinson; brother-in-laws, Albert Dettore and Bob Fegan. Glina Joyce was born on March 13, 1944 in Grundy, Virginia. She was a factory worker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother in the Jackson area for many years. She enjoyed gardening, being outside, spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and, having coffee with her neighbor, Bob. Helping her neighbors, vacationing with her sisters, watching NASCAR and University of Michigan football. According to her wishes cremation has been selected and there will be no services.
