Harold "Chuck" C. Everhart

Went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the age of 90. He was born to Harold and Anna Everhart on May 7, 1934 in Akron, Ohio. He was married to the love of his life, Janet on June 14, 1957 in Jackson, Michigan. They then traveled to Alameda, California, where he was stationed in the Navy from 1956-1958 and in the reserves from 1952-1956. Chuck was a member of the Lansing Ave. Baptist Church for many years, serving many of those years on the Board of Trustees. He worked for GoodYear for 33 years. Chuck loved golf and following the grandchildren in all of their sports activities. During his four year battle with cancer and being confined to home most of that time, he passed time by watching lots of old westerns, Perry Mason, Matlock, and a little Andy Griffith, as well as listening to music. He will be missed by all who knew him. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Janet L. (nee Wilson); children Brenda Colby, Jeffrey Everhart, Mark (Rhonda) Everhart, and Tim (Kathy) Everhart; 6 grandchildren Kelsey Colby, Codee Colby, Maddison (Mitch) Spranger, Heith Everhart, Rozlynn (Collin) Landrum and Audrey Everhart; 3 great grandchildren Blakelyn and Hoyt Spranger and Carter Landrum; brother Richard (Judy) Everhart; and many niece and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sherri Poxson. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Chuck’s life will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Lansing Ave. Baptist Church (4000 Lansing Ave., Jackson, Michigan 49202) at 12:00 PM with Pastor Steve Sebring and Pastor David Wilson officiating. A memorial visitation will be on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 11:00 AM until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Lansing Ave. Baptist Church in Chuck’s Honor.
