On Friday June 28, 2019, Bishop Archie C. Eggleton Sr. exchanged his earthly home for his heavenly home, peacefully at the age of 90. Archie honorably served in the Korean War and retired from the United Postal Service in 1983 after 30 years. He was a devoted and respected pastor of Bethlehem Temple Church for over 48 years, retiring in 2018. He was an excellent Bible teacher and preacher of the gospel. Archie loved to work in his yard with his flowers and gardening. He was also a gifted pianist. He touched the lives of many with his love for people, his compassion and also humor. Archie leaves to cherish memories, his loving and devoted wife Ann of over 63 years, 4 children, Donna (LC) Adams, Angella (Marvin) Arnold, Archie Jr. (Raechel) and Michael (Lynette), 10 grandchildren (1 deceased) and 1 great grandson. A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Bethlehem Temple Church, 1403 Pringle St. Jackson, Michigan from 6-8 P.M. A homegoing service will be held Monday, July 8, 2019 at The Breadhouse, 1518 S. Washington, Lansing, Michigan. Family hour at 10:00 A.M., Service at 11:00 A.M. Bishop Archie Eggleton will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.
