Of Jackson, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013 at the age of 88. She is survived by her children, Carol (Warren) Bertram, Larry Ward and Fredrick (Millie) Ward; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Ward; brother, Fredrick Leffler and sister, Barbara Fraley. Irene was born in Jackson on November 3, 1925 to George and Roberta (Rice) Leffler. She is a graduate of Michigan Center High School. She was a hardworking, proud homemaker; loved her family and will be greatly missed. A service honoring her will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 1:30P.M. The family will receive friends at the Chapel from 1:00P.M. until the time of service, followed by Interment.
