Of Jackson, has gone to be with his Lord and Savior January 12, 2011, age 87. He will also meet his wife, Billye Nell, whom he was married to for 65 years; she preceded him in death in 2006. Dad was a very religious person who believed in the Southern Baptist Faith and followed the teachings of the Bible. Dad will also meet his oldest daughter, Glenna Kay Watters who passed away May of 2010. Dad leaves behind his three children, Danny Jay (Charlett) Freeman, Sheryal Lane (Bruce) Nowak and Tanya Janell Freeman; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. He was a member and former Deacon at Grace Church and served in the Army during World War II, with Patton's Army, earning 5 Battle Stars. A special thanks to his caregiver, Lisa Fletcher. Funeral services will be held at Grace Church, 2692 N. Dettman Rd. Monday 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Bailey officiating. Burial Roseland Cemetery. Visitation Saturday 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made Arbor Hospice.
