Jean D. Peterson

Of Jackson, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the age of 77. She is survived by her sister-in-law and guardian, Deloris A. Peterson; loving niece, Tammy and great niece, Tara as well as her sister, Donna Reiter and many nieces and nephews, also a best friend, Lori Lowder, whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Bill and Marion Peterson; step-mother Emeline; sister, June and four brothers, Bill, Gordon, Bob and Jerry Peterson also nephews, Jerry, Mark and Shelton; nieces, Kathy and Rebekah. Jean attended Amy Firth School for developmentally disabled children. She also attended Special Olympics, winning numerous blue ribbons. She was a special person who loved her family, friends and her baby doll, Jimmy and her dog Zoey. Jean lived at the Odd Fellow and Rebekah Home the last seven years of her life where she was shown love and compassion every day. The family would especially like to thank the 2nd floor nurses and doctors at Carelink and the staff of Odd Fellow and Rebekah Home. Jean will be laid to rest near her family in Woodland Cemetery. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
