John Edward Andrews

Of Jackson, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 and joined his beloved wife of 56 years, Petra (Ojeda) Andrews in Heaven, he was 78 years old. He was also preceded in death by his parents as well as an infant son, Baby Johnny. John is survived by his children, Edward (Vicky) Andrews and Deborah (Scott) Eberle; grandchildren, Amanda (Jake) Eller, Steven and Marissa; great grandchildren, Marley, Miles and Mollie; siblings, Carol (Al) Gittere, Diane Parks, David (Nancy) Andrews, Jim (Kathy) Andrews and Gloria (Tom) Rose. John was born in Jackson, Michigan to Emerson and Gloria (Curry) Andrews on November 29, 1942. He attended Jackson Public Schools and received an associate degree from Jackson Community College. He worked as a machinist at Hayes-Albion for many years and then retired as a Realtor. He was a loving family man, faithful husband and cherished father. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed being outdoors, golfing, fishing and walking on his property. He was a talented musician and loved playing for the Church. John had a strong faith in the Lord and attended the Apostolic Outreach Center (807 Longfellow Ave. Jackson, 49201) Where a service honoring his life will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with his son-in-law, Scott Eberle Officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family would like to thank his neighbors, Lenny and Barb Palkowski for all their help in maintaining his lawn during his illness.
