With deep love and sadness, we remember our beloved Joe, a kind and caring man who meant so much to everyone who knew him. He was a devoted father and a proud, loving grandfather whose family was always at the center of his life.
Joe believed strongly in spending quality time with the people he loved most. Whether it was sharing conversations, laughter, or simply being together, those moments meant everything to him. His children and grandchildren were his greatest joy, and he made sure they always knew how deeply he loved them.
Joe spent 36 wonderful years married to his beloved wife, Linda, whom he loved deeply. Though she passed away in 2019, their bond remained strong, and her memory stayed close to his heart.
Some of Joe’s simple pleasures included watching football, playing catch with his grandson, Jhassia, and running errands with his granddaughter, Tyah. These moments reflect who he was—present, warm, and happiest when surrounded by those he loved.
Joe will be lovingly remembered by his two children, Joyce Norris, Charley Norris (Jennifer); his two grandchildren, Tyah and Jhassia; and his sisters, Cindy, Theresa, and Mary. In addition to his parents and wife Linda, Joe was preceded in death by sister Patricia Powers.
Joe will be remembered for his kindness, his caring heart, and the love he gave so freely. His legacy lives on through his children, his grandchildren, and the many cherished memories that will forever be held close. He will be deeply missed and always lovingly remembered.
A celebration of Joe's life will be held Friday, December 12, 2025 at 3:00 pm with family receiving friend's from 1:30 pm until time of service at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home 1806 E. Michigan Avenue Jackson, MIchigan 49202.
