L J "Jay" Ball

Of Clark Lake, MI passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023 at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Ball; daughters; Patsy Fowler of West Branch, Ginger McNair of Jonesville; stepdaughter; Marcia (Kent) Ford of Clark Lake, stepson; James Sell II of Tempe, AZ; grandchildren; Wendy Seabolt of Grand Rapids, Randee (Jack) Morris of West Branch, Erik (Rachel) Gier of Pittsford, Jacob (Andrea) Gier of Pittsford, Lauren (Korey) Carpenter of Grand Rapids, Connor Ford of Clark Lake, and Anna Sell of Tempe, AZ; great grandchildren; Graycen, Dawson, Owen and Aurora Gier, Jack Carpenter and Kendel Morris; sister; Nina (Gary) Hellner of Humble, TX. “Jay” was born to Berkeley and Eunice (Townsend) Ball on June 4, 1938 and he was a 1957 graduate of Pittsford High School. He joined the reserves while in high school and served two years of active duty in the United States Navy. He and Beverly were married on October 26, 1979. He retired from Frontier Communications after 36 years of service. Jay was very social, loved music and loved to dance. He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. A private memorial service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park where he will be laid to rest.
