Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on February 4, 2025, at Highland Care Home at the age of 82. Larry was born in Chatfield, Ohio on April 15,1942 to parents Robert and Gladys Jacobs. Larry worked at Miller Tool and Die, Crankshaft Machine, and Ingersoll. Larry was the smartest guy you'd ever meet and could fix anything. Larry is survived by his wife of 56 years Shirley Rodgers Jacobs; children Robert Jacobs, Angela Johnson, and Kim (Jeff) Plass; grandchildren Jordan, Jason, and Erin; great grandson Bryson; siblings Bob (Jan) Jacobs, Marcia Gorham, Bonnie Phelps, and Marilyn Roggow; and special friend Linda Klatt. The Jacobs family would like to thank all the "Angels" who took care of Larry at Highland Assisted Living, and Mike for all his help. Per his wishes cremation has taken place, and a memorial visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 East Michigan Ave.) from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM, The family requests no flowers, contributions can be made to the charity of one’s choice in Larry’s name.
