Marian B. Gattshall

Marian B. Gattshall of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at the age of 86. She was born January 25, 1936 in Somerset, MI to Robert and Estelle Stuart. In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, John Gattshall; sons, John “Terry” Gattshall and Paul Gattshall; sisters, Evelyn Truitt and Carol Good; brother, William Stuart; and brothers-in-law, Verl Truitt, LaVern Buckland and Richard Griffus. She is survived by her children, Randy (Patti) Gattshall and Pamela (Cody) Boucher; daughter-in-law Kim Gattshall; grandchildren, Chris (Amanda) Gattshall, Amy (Robert) Krieger, Kimberly Gattshall, Andy Gattshall, Laura Charles, Brandon Boucher, Brittany (Jordan) Semrow, Tammy (Steve) Jordan, Nikole (Scott) Conley and Jason (Kari) Carpenter; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Sharon Buckland, Joan Griffus, and Jane (Emerson) Clemons; and brothers, Robert (Janice) Stuart, John Stuart and Bradley (LaDonna) Stuart, as well as many nieces and nephews and loved ones. Marian graduated from Concord High School and retired from NuVision as an optician and manager after 25 years of service. She enjoyed gardening and canning and was an excellent cook. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 E. Michigan Avenue, Jackson, Michigan 49202). The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society (www.alz.org) would be appreciated.
