Age 65, passed away under the care of Allegiance Hospice Home on November 26, 2014. He was born March 6, 1949 in Jackson, Michigan and was a lifelong resident. He was preceded in death by parents, Leonard and Margaret Heath; he is survived by sister, Maureen (Thomas) Burnham, brother, Leonard Heath Sr., and nephews, Leonard Jr. and Robert Heath. Mike was a retired Michigan Corrections Officer and a Vietnam Veteran. His interests included hunting, golfing and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed spending time with his many friends, especially Mike Richards and the employees and patrons of Duffy's Bar. Per Mike’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. Family will receive friends for a memorial visitation on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with military honors at 12:30pm. Family will gather at Duffy’s Bar at 2:00pm. He will be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Allegiance Hospice Home (2150 Kingsbrooke Dr, Jackson, MI 49202) or Cascades Humane Society (1515 Carmen Dr, Jackson, MI 49202).
