Norman A. Jacobs Jr.

Age 44 of Tompkins Center, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Sparrow Hospital with his family by his side, after a brief battle with cancer. Norm is survived by his children, Macy and Zachary; his mother, Janice Jacobs; sister, Penny; niece, Chelsea Jacobs; nephew, Adam Taylor; and the love of his life, Danielle Smith. He is also survived by aunts and uncles, Bertha (Rex) Whitaker, Juanita Bradley, Emma (Gordon) Harris, Jack Jacobs, Sheila (Dave) Moffitt, Al Jacobs, Dale McBride, Rick (Pam) McBride, as well as numerous cousins, loving family members, and friends. Norm was preceded in death by his father, Norman Jacobs. He was born in Jackson on May 19, 1971 and graduated from Northwest High School in 1989. He was a state wrestling champion and was active in the youth wrestling programs. He enjoyed the outdoors and had the gift of gab. His two children were his most loved and bragged about gifts from life. He touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed. Special thank you to Northwest Red Crushers and Eaton Rapids Wrestling Clubs for the love and support of a true teammate. Funeral services will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son funeral home on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Tompkins Cemetery.
