Of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the age of 70. She is survived by her husband, Frank Blackfire; son and daughter-in-law, Floyd (Kathy) Herr; three grandchildren, Jordan, Zoe and Xander as well as loving family members and friends. Patricia was born to John and Wilma Smith on October 23, 1949 and is a graduate of Kettering high school. She was a hard working woman and often worked two jobs to provide for her family and pay her way through college to obtain a degree. She became the first woman firefighter to cross train as an Emergency Medical Technician in Florida. Patricia was a kindhearted woman that spent her life helping others. She put the needs and wants of her family and others before her own. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. A celebration of her life will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest next to her parents at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
