Paul E. Flippo

Of Jackson, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the age of 86. He will be remembered by his children, Carol Richmond, Steven Flippo and Douglas (Victoria Ojeda) Flippo; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, many loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Flippo. Paul was one of nine children born on April 26, 1928 in Alabama to William and Cora (Nelson) Flippo. After he proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict he relocated to Jackson, where he married; raised a family and retired as a Master Mechanic from Bob Hardy’s Volkswagen, Toyota; Volvo after many years of service. He was a proud, hardworking family man. Had a strong faith in the Lord; mechanically talented and enjoyed playing music. A service honoring his life will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 1:00P.M. with his grandson, Shawn Richmond officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8P.M. as well as on Friday from 12:00noon until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Military honors.
