Of Munith, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 8 2017 at the age of 81. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 55 years, Julia Porter; five sons, Irving, Brian (Anne) Wesley, Victor and Doug Porter; special grandchildren, Jonathan, Jordan, Arya, Asher, Eli, Oren and Carley; brother, Creston Porter and three sisters, Rebecca Harris, Margaret (Ed) Towne and Carol Moog. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Leon A. Porter. Raymond was born to Irving and Bessie (Spice) on April 28, 1935. He proudly served in the United Stated Navy and appreciated the lessons and opportunities that helped him throughout his life. He retired form Die Cast Corp. with over 30 years of service. He was a hardworking family man and took pride in fathering five sons. He had a good sense of humor and was always willing to help when he was able to. A service honoring his life will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Mr. Porter will be laid to rest at Roseland Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
