Richard Leonard Good Sr.

Of Jackson, MI passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the age of 76. He was born September 30, 1946 to parents, Russell and Irene (Shacklett) Good. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Barb, Nona and Roy Sr. Richard served in the United States Army, was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the American Legion. After working several years manufacturing auto parts, he went on to retire. In his spare time, Richard enjoyed golfing, Bingo and going to the Casino. He was an avid Michigan fan, which was apparent in his every day attire. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Jane (Boldrey); children, Richard (Tina) Good, Jr., Irene (Ed) Lundy; step-son, Chuck LaRock; grandchildren, Sadie (Alex) Neil, Desiree (Cody) James, Austyn Good and Colby LaRock; five great grandchildren; and brother, Jon (Donna) Good. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, January 9, 2023 4:00 – 8:00 PM with a Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge of Sorrow service at 6:00 PM at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 E. Michigan Avenue, Jackson, MI 49202). A Celebration of Life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 12:00 PM with visitation at 11:00 AM until the time of service. Richard will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Mary for funeral expenses.
