

Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 83. Rich is survived by his four children Laura (Bruce) Porter, David Robison, Lainie Robison, and Jeffery (Andrea) Robison; Grandchildren Sarah (Lance ) Harner, Jacob Robison, Cody (Jimena ) Porter, Austin (Kaylyn) Porter, Carson (Grace) Porter, and Dawson Porter; Shay (Andrew) Rockett, Hayden Robison, and Jacquelyn Grace Robison; and 8 Great grandchildren; Abija Harner, Jazzlynn Harner, Jayden Harner, Lance Jr. Harner, Octavia Harner, Mackenzie Porter, Evelyn Robison and Jack Robison; sister Debbie Robison; nieces Nancy, Crystal, Tracy (Bobby), Carey Miller; Nephews Elmer (Jean) Diver Jr.; Eric Vincent and many special Friends. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Mable Robison, brother George Robison, sister Dora and Elmer Diver, nephew Clay Robison, and former wife Jacquelyn S. Robison. Richard and Jackie owned and operated Richard's Market on Ann Arbor Rd for 20 years. He then was the pre-arrangement counselor for Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Homes. Rich had many friends and enjoyed life to the absolute fullest. A funeral service celebrating Rich’s life will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 11:00AM at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 East Michigan Ave). Per Rich’s wishes the visitation is to be a Happy One On Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 2:00PM-4:00PM & 6:00PM- 8:00PM and on Friday from 10:00AM until time of service. Rich will be laid to rest at Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Jackson County Animal Shelter.
