Robert Charles Burns III

Age 50, passed away at his Jackson home July 26, 2014 under the loving care of his wife Jackey. Robert fought a valiant battle against Acute Myeloid Leukemia and Myelofibrosis. Robert was born October 16, 1963 to Robert C. Burns Jr. and Jean K. Burns. He was a 1982 graduate of Michigan Center High School and served in the U.S. Army. Robert married Jackey Sue Lance on June 19, 1992. Survived by his wife, Jackey, his son Robert IV, his mother Jean Burns, two sisters, Robin (David) Showerman, Karen (Bill) Ausler, one brother, Matthew Burns, five nieces and three nephews, father in law, James Lance Sr., three sisters in law, Angela (Robin) Wood, Julia (Greg) Pollard, Barbara (Mike) Prentler, one brother in law, James Lance Jr. Preceded in death by his father, Robert, mother in law, Pearl Lance, grandparents, aunts, uncles and his nephew. A celebration of his life will be held at the funeral home Wednesday July 30, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. Cremation will follow service. Visitation Tuesday 6-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Robert's wife and son to help with final expenses, or to Allegiance Hospice, would be greatly appreciated.
