Robert S. Freck

Of Jackson, MI parted from this earth on February 2, 2022, at the age of 93. Robert was born in Jackson on January 18, 1929, to parents Robert John Freck and Erma Lucille Skinkle. He married Patricia Leona Pickett on December 2, 1950, and they were married for 57 years. As a youth, he traveled to Levering, MI by train to work summers for an older friend. He enjoyed his time there and shared many stories with his children. When he married, he took his family there during the summers as well. Bob easily made many friends. He and his wife were Court Golden Triangle Officers for the Independent Order of Foresters for many years. They loved to travel and spend time up North and with friends in Alabama. Bob is survived by his daughter Laura (Kenneth) Brown; grandchildren Michael (Melanie) Messner, Shannon (Craig) Hale, and Adam (Megan) Freck; five great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Patricia Freck and sons Randall Robert Freck and Michael Harold Freck. A memorial service will be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in Bliss Township, MI.
