Rose Mae Maloney

Of Jackson, passed away at her home on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the age of 82, after a long courageous battle with cancer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merlyn Maloney; son, Darin Maloney; siblings, Pauline Wagoner, Bob Hodges, Robert Hodges, Ted Hodges, Dorothy Darr and Marvin Hodges. She will be remembered by her children, Patti Kelly, Robert Kelly, Jackie Kelly, Mark (Tina) Maloney and Shanna Bacon, brother, James J.(Janice) Hodges of Arizona many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. Rose was born in Trumann, Arkansas to Ernest and Eloise Hodges on May 12, 1941 and attended Michigan Center Schools. She attended Jackson Business School then owned and operated Bacon Heating and Cooling with her deceased husband, David Bacon. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a crossing guard for many years and was extremely fond of the children and her time she spent with them. Rose enjoyed spending time with family and going to classic car shows and was a member of the Corvette Club. According to her wishes, cremation has been chosen and she will be laid to rest with her husband, Merlyn at Lakeside Cemetery in Howell, Michigan.
