Of Jackson passed on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the age of 70. Shirley was born on July 3, 1950 to parents Ralph and Marilyn McKenzie. Throughout her lifetime Shirley affectionately known as Sam, enjoyed collecting tea pots, fishing, cooking crocheting, knitting, needle point and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and shopping. She is survived by her beloved husband of 26 years Calvin, Loving children Annette, Ken (Amy) Molica, Bob (Christy) Mann and Philip (Christy) Mann; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; special cousins Val (Kevin) Myers and Van Heistand; lifelong friend Cheryle. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and brother James McKenzie. She touched the hearts of many and will be missed. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 with visitation from 11:00AM-1:30PM at Patience Montgomery Funeral Home (406 First Street, Jackson, MI 48201) and Graveside service at Woodland Cemetery at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Jackson County Animal Shelter. In accordance with the CDC and local guidelines mask must be worn and there will be a limit of 25 people maximum in the facility at a time.
