Susan Parker

Of Jackson Michigan passed away on December 7, 2022, at the age of 89 years old. Survived by her daughter, Julie Parker of Norcross Georgia; son, Robert (Paula) Parker; grandsons, Michael (Jasmine) of Grimes Iowa and Matthew Parker of Austin Texas and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Beatrice Wiesler and her four siblings. Susan was born in Toledo, Ohio but spent most of her youth in Marion, Indiana where she was married in 1952. They moved to Jackson in 1955 as her husband, James, was employed at Consumers Power Co. Sue worked for Dr. Woodrow Wickham as a receptionist and when he retired, started her employment at Walker Manufacturing (Tenneco). She retired after 18 years as a Human Resource Coordinator.

Sue was a dedicated, avid bridge player attaining the level of Silver Life Master within the American Contract Bridge League. She also was an avid sports fan (not participating, just watching). She couldn't be loyal to just one university as her children went to both Michigan and Michigan State. According to her wishes, Sue has chosen to be cremated. A private memorial was held at Vista Grande Villa. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Cascades Humane Society in her name would be appreciated. She also wishes to extend her appreciation for all the staff and residents of Vista Grande Villa for their kindness, helpfulness, and friendship.
