Of Parma, MI passed away at the age of 60 on June 7, 2020 at the University of Michigan Medical Center with family by her side after a year and a half journey with leukemia. She was born to parents James and Martha Dorr on November 28, 1959 in Kalamazoo, MI. Tera graduated from Western High School in 1977 and attended both Jackson Community College and Western Michigan University. She worked at the candy counter at L.H. Field Department Store and Red Lobster for many years and then as a phlebotomist at W.A. Foote and Garcia Laboratory before finding her dream job, a third-generation school bus driver. Tera drove the "Golden Chariot" for over 20 years at Western Schools where she trained bus drivers and transported her "cherubs" to and from school and to many sporting events. Her second true love was her very own "Teragraphics" printing and embroidery clothing business where she was able to release her creativity. Tera was a member of the Village Hope Church in Parma, a member of the JayCees - Jackson Chapter, a softball pitcher for many teams in Jackson, played golf and loved crafting. Tera was a very giving person who knew everyone, and if you knew Tera, you soon were laughing from her quick wit and puns. She will be greatly missed by so many in the community, but rest assure Tera is shining her light down on us. Tera is survived by her parents James and Martha Dorr, sister Elizabeth Wray, niece Alyssa Wray, Aunt Mary Dorr, Uncle Orrin and Aunt Fay Dorr, Aunt Linda Dorr and many cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, uncles, and aunts. Special thanks to all of Tera's Facebook Leukemia Island Prayer Warriors and the staff at Mott's and U of M hospital for their wonderful care. Per Tera's wishes, cremation has taken place. Please join her family for a Party in Tera’s honor Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Commonwealth Center, 209 E Washington Ave., Jackson 1pm-4pm. Open House style and masks required.
